| The motor (grey) drives a multi-stage reduction gear box (blue) which has several output shafts. The main output shaft drives the flexible shafts (red) and then the inner actuators. The inner actuators then drive the outer actuators. An intermediate shaft drives a high-reduction gear (green) to actuate the flap position switch (grey) for the four flap positions ("up", "approach", "start", "landing"). The pilot controls the flap position by these switch positions. | |||
