Landing Flaps Drive System

inboard actuator

The actuator is driven by the flexible shaft (red) from the main gear box. The rotation of the actuator input shaft is converted by a worm gear, increasing the torque and changing the direction by 90°. The worm gear drives the ball screw spindle (grey). The spindle nut (blue) is connected to the flap panel.

Both inboard actuators are identical and drive the outboard actuators by the flexible shafts (red).
